

Nicole Pettel
I graduated from Cabrillo College, December 2012 with an AA in Kinesiology, honorable mention. I am studying to become a Physical Therapist. I completed a paid internship with Dominican Hospital working under a Neurological Physical Therapist and at the Lifestyle and Management facility. I am finishing my BS degree at San Jose State University in Pre-Professional Kinesiology. I participated in gymnastics for 11 years, and in high school I joined the water polo team.
I went on to play for the Cabrillo team, while interning under the head Athletic Trainer. I am currently training and competing in Power Lifting at Norcal Health and Fitness, as well as training others. I hold the State Record for Squat and Bench press, and I had the All-American record for squat in 2014. On the side I coach gymnastics at Vargas Academy with children that range from ages 2-16 and adults of all ages. I love training clients, trying new exercises, and studying in order to help clients reach their goals safely.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer though NASM, a Certified Powerlifting coach through the United States Powerlifting Association, and currently studying to take the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Test, now that I am in senior standing at SJSU.
