Matthew Apolinaris

Mathew has been dedicated to the sport of boxing for over 10 years. His journey as a personal trainer began 2 years ago working at Equinox. He has worked with a variety of clients from children to marathon runners to bankers, all with the goal of a healthier lifestyle they looked to achieve. Mathew specializes in boxing training, weight loss, and strength development where he is able to design a strategy to meet both short and long term goals. Mathew is also familiar with working with small groups and classes as he taught boxing classes at LH Transformations in his hometown, in the Bronx. He welcomes all challenges big or small. Mathew's philosophy on training is that hard work combined with determination always pays off. If you are not willing to give your best 100 percent of the time then you will not see positive results. He encourages his clients to adopt this mentality to motivate and empower them to be more passionate about their goals not just in fitness but in life.

 

Mathew's programs are designed to create short term positive results, with consistency and adaptation you can create long term habits. Mathew uses functional movements that are used from day to day (squat, lunge, push, pull, twist, and bend/lift) and different loads to burn fat, increase metabolism, and improve lean body mass. Mathew's boxing programs improve the conditioning and endurance of the cardiovascular system to perform at it's highest levels. This is the perFIcT program for people who can only train 2 days per week! The programs starts you off with one week of mostly body-weight exercises to get you used to training, and then in weeks 2-4 the program starts making your body shred pounds and gain muscle!
